National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will add one flight per week on the Vietnam-Frankfurt sector from June 21 to meet the increasing demand during the football World Cup starting in Germany this week.

Following the increase there will be two flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Frankfurt per week, the same as from Hanoi.

The airline has announced a joint promotion with Hyundai-Vinamotor under which the first 25 passengers buying return business class tickets to Frankfurt on June 21 will get a ticket for the Ukraine-Tunisia match in Berlin on June 23.

It has also announced additional points for members of the Bong Sen Vang (Golden Lotus) Club when they fly on the route between June 21 and July 31.
