Greeted at the airport, transferred to the hotel for check-in, enjoy welcome dinner
On arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, tourists will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide and transferred to the hotel for check-in. You will relax in the hotel until the Welcome dinner at a famous local restaurant hold by Indochina Private Tour.
Explore National Museum, Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start exploring Phnom Penh with the first destination – Royal Palace. Including of several luxurious and charming buildings like Moonlight Pavilion, Throne Hall, Phochani Pavilion, the Royal Palace will make tourists overwhelmed immediately. Not far from the Royal Place is well-known Silver Pagoda. Owning national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues among which Maitreya Buddha a life-sized gold statues decorated with 9584 diamonds is the most precious, Silver Pagoda attracts millions tourists every year. After that, we will go on discovering National Museum, a fine architectural structures, which is now exhibiting one of the world’s largest collections of Khmer art including sculpture, ceramics, carved works, and bronzes of different periods. After breakfast at the hotel, tourists will join in a fascinating tour around the beautiful capital of Phnom Penh. The first destination of today is Wat Phnom – a Buddhist temple built in 1373. Being the highest religious structure in the city, Wat Phnom is attached with the foundation of Phnom Penh. The, tourists will continue journey with Russian Market where you can find anything from clothes to CDs. Being there, tourists can feel another faces of Phnom Penh: lively and frenetic. At last, you understand better about the dark time in Cambodia's history and witness one of the most brutal of the 20th century by paying a visit to Genocide Museum. Under the government of Khmer Rouge, it used to be a Tuol Sleng prison. From 1975 to 1979, about 17,000 people were imprisoned and tortured, many of them were brutally killed. We continue moving to Choeung Ek Museum (The Killing Fields) where Khmer Rouge Regime executed over one million from 1975 to 1979. Tourists will stay overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
Travel to Stung Treng, enjoy a boat cruise to Thala Bariwatt
After breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to Stung Treng for taking a boat cruise to Thala Bariwatt. Also known as “River of Reeds”, Stung Treng is located in the western part of the Virachey National Park. Being there, tourists can enjoy cool weather and great view to the Sekong River. By taking a boat cruise to Thala Bariwatt, tourists will have chance to enjoy the beauty of vast and peaceful river or feeling the rhythm of rural lives in Cambodia. Especially, you can take great photos of sunset on the river or lively wildlife such as swimming dolphins, flying storks and other stunning sceneries. You will stay overnight at hotel in Stung Treng.
Enjoy swimming in Boeng Yeak Laom Lake, explore Cha Ong Waterfall, and climb up Eisey Pak Ta Mak Mountain
After breakfast in the hotel, we will move to Banlung for swimming in Boeng Yeak Laom Lake. Located 5 km far from Banlung, Yeak Laom is a natural and beautiful lake formed by a volcanic eruption about 4,000 years ago. If tourists do not like swimming, watching this picturesque scenery of green jade lake and green forest or observing peaceful lives of local hill-tribe people will be a great choice. Then, we will go on exploring spectacular Cha Ong Waterfall. At last, we will climb up to Eisey Pak Ta Mak Mountain after visiting a small pagoda at the foot mountain. After breakfast, today we will drive to a quite remote area of Ven Sai Village. Being there, tourists could experience authentic and unique life of some ethnic minorities. Tourists will have joyful time to talk with open-minded and hospitable people there. After that, we will go on exploring Kachang Waterfall. Located 6 km far from Banlung, Kachang Waterfall is one of the most attractive destinations in Ratanakiri. You can enjoy taking bath at the foot of the fall or exploring the world of bird thriving around Kachang Waterfall. Taking an elephant ride through the jungle would be also a great choice. Tourists will stay one more night in Banlung.
Travel from Banlung to Kratie, enjoy watching Irrawaddy dolphins on Mekong River
After breakfast at hotel, we will get on private car for transferring to Kratie. After that, we will enjoy a boat cruise on Mekong River for watching Irrawaddy dolphins. This kind of dolphin is one of endangered freshwater dolphins protected by NGOs. There are about 80 remained dolphins living there and related agencies are doing their best to preserve this endangered kind of animals. Along the cruise, tourists will enjoy picturesque riverside scenery, pretty villages and charming locals as well as take nice photos. Tourists will stay overnight in Kratie.
Move to Kampong Cham, visit Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros Temple
After breakfast, we will travel from Kratie to Kampong Cham – a peaceful province with colonial Frech charm. En route, we will stop at a rubber plantation for observing the process of rubber tapping carried out by locals. You may get fascinated by watching a vast rubber plantation and a feeling slight fragrance of rubber in the air. After that, we will go on visiting historical temples of Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros located 7 km far from the provincial town of Kampong Cham. After stepping up 308 stairs, tourists will reach beautiful temples at the top of the hill. Phnom Srei and Phnom Pros in Khmer Language mean Man Hill and Woman Hill. There was a very funny story about the foundation of these two temples. Long times ago, there was a Queen and no one dared to propose her. Therefore, she asked a man to marry her and from then on all women in the Kingdom started to follow her. One day, man and women in Cambodia set up a competition of piling up two hills: One hill made by men and one hill made by women. Due to some trick carried out by women, their hill was higher. As a result, from that time until now, Cambodian Men must ask Cambodian Women to get marriage. You will relax and stay overnight in Kampong Cham.
Visit Sambor Prei Kuk Temple
After breakfast, we will transfer to Siem Reap. En route, we will stop at Sambor Prei Kuk Temple. Located on the eastern bank of Tonle Sap Lake at the sub-tropical forest, Sambor Prei Kuk is an archeological site dated to 7th century. Tourists will be attracted by architectural features including numerous prasats, octagonal towers, shiva lingas and yonis, ponds and reservoirs, and lion sculptures. Going further into the complex, tourists can enjoy watching other temples of pre-Angkor period with unique architecture and features. In the evening, tourists will enjoy a tasty dinner at a famous local restaurant. Tourists will stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Visit Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom
After breakfast, tourists will have an absolutely amazing journey to explore Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. First, we will go on visiting glorious Angkor Thom – the most enduring capital of Khmer Empire. Bayon Temple is world well-known for its stunning architecture with 54 high towers and giant four-face statues carved on stone. You may feel like stepping into an unreal, a holy world. Go further inside, you may feel breathless by the delicate carved works in Baphou, Elephant Terrace, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place and ruined Preah Khan Temple. In the afternoon we will enjoy visiting the biggest Hindy temple in the world: Angkor Wat. Obviously, Angkor Wat is the most famous architectural work in Cambodia which was recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Hindu temple is famous for its unique and sophisticated Angkor architectural style. Magnificent Angkor standing under the light of the sun, reflected in the lake will become tourists’ unforgettable memories. At about 9.00 am, we will return to hotel and relax there until 3.00 pm to avoid strong heat at the midday. After breakfast, tourists will go on exploring many beautiful and unique temples of Angkor Complex: Banteay Srey, Banteay Kdei, Ta Prohm, Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temple. Among which, Ta Prohm – a Angkor style temple built in the late 12th century and the early 13th century is the most famous. Unlike other Angkorian Temple, Ta Prohm put strong impression on visitors by its strange scenery: trees growing out of the ruins and jungle surround. Banteay Srei is also a magnificient Angkor Temple. Also known as the "Jewel of Khmer art" or "Citadel of Women", Banteay Srei obsesses various elaborately carved walls and statues. Tourists will get amazed by delicate carved statue of Apsara dancer which deserves to be one of the best symbols to honor women's beauty. Tourists will stay the last night at hotel in Siem Reap.
Explore some floating villages in Tonle Sap Lake
After breakfast, tourists will go on exploring Tonle Sap Lake – the biggest fresh water in Southeast Asia. En route, tourists will have chance to give a glimpse at some floating villages. More than 100 varieties of water birds including several threatened and endangered species, over 200 species of fish, as well as crocodiles, turtles, macaques, otter and other wildlife inhabit the inundated mangrove forests.
