Exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, Cambodian countryside
When arriving at Siem Reap, you will be transferred to your hotel. We will start with a visit to the Roluos Group, the oldest temples in the region including Preak Ko, Ba Kong and Lo Lei. While here, you will receive a private blessing from the resident monk and explore the Cambodian countryside with an ox cart ride. The day ends with a spectacular sunset and a sweeping views of the surrounding temples and countryside. Welcome dinner will be arranged for you in a famous local restaurant. Then you will stay overnight in this place.
Visit Angkor Thom's famous South Gate, Terrace of the Elephants
As usual, getting up early and catching the beauty of the sunrise before having breakfast will make you come prepared for the tour. We will depart to visit Angkor Thom's famous South Gate where you will take an elephant ride to Bayon Temple which depicts intricate scenes of traditional Cambodian life. From the Bayon continue on foot to the Baphuon, recently re-opened to the public, where you pass by the wooden Royal Palace. Then continue to the Terrace of the Elephants where a parade used to be held for the king or you can spend the afternoon exploring Siem Reap's colorful markets. Lately you will spend your night in Siem Reap.
Move to Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean (River of 1,000 Lingas) and Banteay Samre, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Neak Poan and Preah Khan
Today will begin with the sunrise over Angkor Wat before driving to Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean (River of 1,000 Lingas) and Banteay Samre. These temples are among the most intricate in all of Cambodia. In the afternoon, we will reach Pre Rup to have valuable chance to discover the reason why the Cambodians have always regard this temple as having funerary associations. Then we will stop at East Mebon, Neak Poan and Preah Khan, which will bring you memorial experiences about architecture and history. Lately you will stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Cross the Tonle Sap Lake to Battambang, explore the cultural villages
After breakfast, embark on a private boat ride across the Tonle Sap Lake to Battambang (3-5 hours. Note: Only possible in the wet season, alternative option by road). The city is situated by the Sangkae River, a small body of water with a picturesque setting. View the French Colonial architecture as an attractive bonus of the city. In the afternoon, you will explore the cultural villages of the area and taster Khmer treats. Then you can enjoy dinner in a local restaurant and stay overnight in Battambang.
Enjoy a ride on the Bamboo train
After breakfast, enjoy a ride on the Bamboo train - a local form of transport which is one of the world's all-time classic rail journeys. Along the east bank for 3.7km to the south of Battambang's Old Stone Bridge, the train runs southeast to O Sra Lav, via half an hour of clicks and clacks along warped, misaligned rails and vertiginous bridges left by the French. Then you will be transferred overland to Phnom Penh (4hours) and check into your hotel. Enjoy dinner at a charitable restaurant and stay overnight in Phnom Penh.
Explore Phnom Penh by Cyclo, visit Royal Palace, National Museum, Wat Phnom, Tuol Sleng genocide museum
Today you can explore the sights of the capital in a traditional Cyclo. A leisurely tour will take you to Phnom Penh's main sights including the Royal Palace, National Museum, Wat Phnom and the Tuol Sleng genocide museum. Royal Palace is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia. The National Museum is designed in Khmer style in 1917 and contains a collection of Khmer art throughout the ages. Lately you will stay overnight in Phnom Penh.
After breakfast you will have a vehicle and guide at your disposal to partake in any of the options below:
- Rice planting and harvesting in surrounding rice fields
- A visit to the silver workshops at Kompong Luong Village

Transfer to Sihanoukville Beach
After breakfast, you will be transferrd to Cambodia's most famous beach resort, Sihanouk Ville. Sihanouk Ville attracts tourists with its relaxed beach atmosphere when compared to Thailand's more developed ones. You will arrive in around midday and get transferred to the hotel where you can enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Spend your night in Sihanouk Ville.
Leisure time with the vehicle
Today, enjoy more time at leisure. There is an optional visit and boat ride to Ream National Park (not included). Spend your night in Sihanoukville .
Breakfast is served at the hotel. Then you can enjoy the day free at leisure and stay overnight in Sihanoukville .
Transfer to airport
