Arrive in Phnom Penh, visit Toul Sleng Museum
On arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by tour guide and transferred to hotel for check in (Early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel's availability). Then we will start our excursion with a visit to Toul Sleng Museum which was considered the biggest prisons in Pol Pot Regime and now becomes a memorial museum. Here you will be arranged to meet one of the artists from Royal Cambodian Art University and relax with a lot of interesting stories.
Transfer to Mekong Islands, visit villagers, visit Royal Palace.
After enjoying breakfast at hotel, you will cruise along Tonle Sap River towards Mekong Islands which is about 20km away from Phnom Penh. Once arriving there, you certainly feel relaxed when cycling along the village of 8km and visiting the local life. Take the chance to observe the villagers doing farm plantation and making silk. After that, you will return to Phnom Penh by boat along Mekong River for 1.5 hours.
In the afternoon, continue to visit Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom. This is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia. Certainly, visiting Royal Palace will not be full-filled if you don’t visit Silver Pagoda, which is so called because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles and located within the Royal Palace compound.
Head to Battambang, visit Ek Phnom temple
After having breakfast, you will be transferred by private vehicle to Battambang, the second largest city in Cambodia. After checking in to your hotel, you will visit the 11th century temple of Ek Phnom in the countryside. Then enjoy a trip to Phare Ponleu Selpak - an organization helping disadvantaged youth, where you can go to the arts center and enjoy an original circus show created by the kids.
Try bamboo train, visit Meahto Phum Ko'mah
Today you can experience zipping through the beautiful landscapes of rural Cambodia with a ride on the local bamboo train. Starting from O Dambong, on the east bank 3.7 km south of Battambang's Old Stone Bridge, the train runs southeast to O Sra Lav, via half an hour of clicks and clacks along warped, misaligned rails and vertiginous bridges. This is a special occasion to discover the daily life of the countryside along the way. Then you will return to town. Enjoy a walking tour and visit Meahto Phum Ko'mah to learn about the charity's work reintegrating vulnerable children back in to society; visit the weaving center and dine at their Fresh Eats Café, and have a look at the ancient houses near the town of Battambang.
Cruise along the Tone Sap Lake, arrive at Siem Reap
After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on the local Khmer Traditional Boat for a cruise along the Tone Sap Lake towards Siem Rap. During this 6-hour voyage, you may have sightseeing of floating villages, bird sanctuary, and local pagodas. Lunch box will be provided on the boat. Arriving at Siem Reap in the late afternoon and enjoy leisure time at the hotel.
Explore Angkor Temples, Bayong Temple and Preah Khan temple
Get up early to catch the beauty of the sunrise before having breakfast. We will start our journey today with a trek to Ta Prohm (the Jungle temple covered) by Remok and then continue to Angkor Wat temple. You will back to hotel and relax during the noon time until 3pm, when we depart to visit Angkor Thom's famous South Gate where you will take an elephant ride to Bayon Temple which depicts intricate scenes of traditional Cambodian life. From the Bayon, continue on foot to the Baphuon, recently re-opened to the public, where you will pass by the wooden Royal Palace. Spend your night in Siem Reap.
Head to west Baray, departure
Early in the morning you will be transferred by our guide on car at 5.30 to west Baray. You can view the beautiful sunrise and peaceful place in this large man-made lakes in Angkor Period. Then you will return to hotel for breakfast and free until transfer to airport for departure. This is the end of the tour.
