Welcomed at the airport, transfer to hotel, check in the hotel, visit Royal Palace, explore Silver Pagoda, discover National Museum, experience Russian Market, Enjoy dinner hosted by Holidays Cambodia
On arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, tourists will be warmly greeted by your tour guide. Then, you will be transferred to the hotel for check in or dropping off your luggage (Early check-in is NOT included & subject to hotel’s availability). After that, we will start exploring Phnom Penh with the first destination – Royal Palace. Including of several luxurious and charming buildings like Moonlight Pavilion, Throne Hall, Phochani Pavilion, the Royal Palace will make tourists overwhelmed immediately. Not far from the Royal Place is well-known Silver Pagoda. Owning national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues among which Maitreya Buddha a life-sized gold statues decorated with 9584 diamonds is the most precious, Silver Pagoda attracts millions tourists every year. After that, we will go on discovering National Museum, a fine architectural structures, which is now exhibiting one of the world’s largest collections of Khmer art including sculpture, ceramics, carved works, and bronzes of different periods. The last destination of today is Toul Sleng Museum which records brutal sins of Khmer Rouge Regime. Enjoy welcome dinner hosted by Indochina Private Tour. Transfer to airport, fly to Siem Reap, check-in the hotel, visit Preah Ang Check & Chom, enjoy boat cruise on Tonle Sap Lake.
After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap. On arrival there, we will check-in the hotel. The first destination in Siem Reap is Preah Ang Check and Preah Ang Chom Shrine. The shrine is dedicated to two Buddhas: Preah Ang Check and Preah Ang Chom. This place is a sacred religious site in belief of Cambodians especially for newly married couples. Next, we will visit Angkor National Museum where you can learn about history of Khmer civilization through art works and artifacts of different periods. In the afternoon, tourists will enjoy a short cruise on Tonle Sap Lake – the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Being there, you will be able to discover floating villages: floating schools, floating police stations, etc. At the end of the day, we will enjoy the stunning scenery of sunset at Phnom Krom. Tourists will stay overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Explore ruined temple Boeng Mealea, explore Wat Damnak
After breakfast at hotel, we will go on exploring one of most attractive destinations in Siem Reap called Boeng Mealea. Built in early 12th century by King Suryavarman II, Boeng Mealea is a large Hindu Temple in Angkor Style. This temple is nicely decorated with intricacy carved motifs, including the Churning of the Sea of Milk and Vishnu being borne by the bird god Garuda. After that, we will return to Siem Reap for exploring Wat Damnak – a Buddha pagoda on the bank of Siem Reap River. This pagoda is special for its French colonial architecture combined with traditional architecture. Tourists should bring candles and incense sticks along to join in good luck blessing ceremony there. A monk will sprinkle holy water on you because it is believed that water bring good luck to you and protect you from bad luck. Before leaving, you will be given a small keepsake by the monks. You will stay overnight in Siem Reap.
Visit Rolous group, explore Banteay Srey and Banteay Samre
In the morning, after breakfast, we will visit famous temples in Angkor area: Rolous Group. Located in the Hariharalaya – the first capital of Khmer Empire, Rolous group consists of earliest permanent temples: Bakong, Lolei, Preah Ko and tiny Prasat Prei Monti. These all temples were built from the late 9th century with bricks, laterite or sandstone. Tourists will enjoy lunch with a local family before continue driving about 35 km from Angkor area to Banteay Srei. It was built in 10th century and dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Being a stunning structure with intricacy of carvings, Banteay Srei will please your eyes. It is also known with the name “Citadel of woman” or “Citadel of beauty” due to many charming davatas carved on the red sandstone walls. At the end of the day, we will return to hotel in Siem Reap for staying overnight.
Explore Ta Prohm, enjoy the beauty of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, and discover Bayon Temple
In the early morning, tourists will have chance to enjoy the stunning scenery of Ta Prohm at dawn. Built in the early 13th centuries, Ta Prohm impresses tourists with its exotic and unique scenery: Tree grows from ruined temples. The works of nature and human combined to make a masterpiece. Leaving Ta Prohm, we will continue joyful journey to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. Obviously, Angkor Wat is the most famous architectural work in Cambodia which was recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Hindu temple is famous for its unique and sophisticated Angkor architectural style. Magnificent Angkor standing under the light of the sun, reflected in the lake will become tourists’ unforgettable memories. At about 9.00 am, we will return to hotel and relax there until 3.00 pm to avoid strong heat at the midday. The journey will continue with Angkor Thom – the most enduring capital of Khmer Empire. Bayon Temple is world well-known for its stunning architecture with 54 high towers and giant four-face statues carved on stone. You may feel like stepping into an unreal, a holy world. Go further inside, you may feel breathless by the delicate carved works in Baphou, Elephant Terrace, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place and ruined Preah Khan Temple. Tourists will stay overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Travel to Phnom Kulen, visit a modern pagoda on the top of mountain, and explore the River of 1000 Lingas
After breakfast, tourists will join in an exciting journey to Kulen Mountain. At the height of 487 meters, Kulen Mountain is the highest point of Siem Reap. By climbing to the top of this mountain, tourist can view the whole majestic Angkor complex. Interestingly, on the top of the mountain, there is a modern style pagoda dedicated to Buddha. Tourists will be keen on to exploring eight-meter tall Buddha statue and washing your hand at the Linga statue. The journey continues with River of 1000 Lingas – one of the most sacred religious sites of Cambodia. Hundred of Lingas elaborately carved on stone combining with fresh waterfall, the River of 1000 Lingas will bring tourists feel of peace. You will have time to enjoy bathing in a fresh waterfall and a picnic lunch served in a natural setting. In the late afternoon, we will return to Siem Reap for overnight.
Visit Angkor Silk Farm, join in Cambodian Cooking Class, departure from Siem Reap
After breakfast, we will start joyful and helpful tour to Angkor Silk Farm in Siem Reap. Tourists will have deeper look at how silk is traditionally made and how people making silk is living. You will see different steps of making silk with naked eyes: from growing mulberry trees to feed silkworms, spinning the cocoon to reeling the filament. Of course, tourists could buy nice traditional silk products there. At noon, tourists will join in exciting Cambodian Cooking Class with a leading chef. Tourists can learn about a variety of ingredients and herbs used in cooking Cambodian food. You will enjoy your fruit for lunch. In the afternoon, tourists will enjoy free time before being transferred to the airport for departure. End of services!
