Silk Farm, Siem-Reap

Situated about 20 minutes from the centre of Siem Reap, the Silk farm has an area of 8 hectare, in which 5 hectares of land are dedicated to plant the mulberry trees; the remaining is used for breeding silkworm and weaving silk. With the large scale, this site plays a role as one of the main project in the development of the textile industry combined with tourism of Cambodia.

The Angkor Silk farm is one of the few free destinations in Siem Reap that you should not miss if you want to buy meaningful souvenirs for the loved one.

Coming to The Angkor Silk farm, travelers will learn more about the traditional antique silk weaver in Cambodia as well as choose the textile products with good quality and price which can be negotiated. You also witness the entire silk making process and the difficulties in creating a handmade textile product.
